I stumbled upon "Without You" today on Threads. I learned it took Appleby 23 years to write this song about his father leaving when he was 11. I love social media for a lot of reasons, the main one being it connects me to people like this, who are brave enough to not only make music that speaks to the heart but to bare their soul again and again every time they share online. Some songs tell you what happened, but this one took me right back to where the hurt was. Thank you, Appleby. I'm honored to be a new fan!
